"Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul, create the symphony of life."   B.K.S. Iyengar

Cristina is a qualified Gym Instructor from Institute Dr. Beaugier, a Yoga Teacher from Argentina Federation of Yoga, Association of Yoga Ananda Marga and Foundation of Pathanjala Yoga Kendra India. She has been in the field of Fitness and Yoga for more than 20 years.

I would like to introduce you Latin Ki Yoga, this modern fun system of Yoga which is totally new in Australia. I am offering you the opportunity to trial it exclusively in Melbourne.

As a Yoga Teacher who left my mother country Argentina 20 years ago,  I want to  bring the excellent benefits of Yoga but with something fun and innovated, keeping the core of the Hatha Yoga.

Like Zumba and the popularity of the South American rhythm, Latin Ki Yoga links different styles and cultures. As a Gym Instructor/Yoga Teacher I bring a touch of fun and entertainment while retaining the innumerable benefits from traditional Yoga.

It is a combination of high-energy Latin American music and Vinyasa flow yoga to create free-form dance moves. "Prana" is a Hindi word that describes how energy is infused into the body during dance and yoga.

Latin Ki Yoga classes teach Hatha Yoga principles, breathing exercises and dance. The yoga portion of the class enables your body to be extra flexible and toned to ease the learning of the vigorous moves. Following the instructor’s command, a group of people sweat and enjoy the dance music. Not only will you lose weight, you will also bring harmony with your emotions, reducing stress.

Workout + Dance works deeper to lift and build your muscles and improves cardio levels. You can notice faster improvement to slim your body, burn your fat tissue and body shape totally changes. Hatha Yoga adds principles about the mind, emotions and body connection which is now being proven by modern medicine. Substantial research has been conducted to look at the Health Benefits of Yoga - from the Yoga Postures (Asanas), Yoga Breathing (Pranayama), and Yoga Nidra (Deep relaxation).

HATHA YOGA

Pranayama + Asanas + Yoga Nidra

Pranayama (breathing technique) includes Kapalabhati, and Nadi Shodhana. Regular practice increases and enhances the quantity and quality of prana (breath), clears blocked nadis (energy meridian) and chakras (energy center wheels), as results the practitioner feels energetic, enthusiastic and positive. Practiced correctly under the right supervision pranayama brings harmony between the body, mind and emotions, making one physically, mentally and spiritually strong.

Yoga asanas provides deep restoration to your body, emotions and mind. And to make your practice more effective, it’s ideal to end your yoga sequence with yoga nidra.

During Yoga nidra, we consciously take our attention to different parts of the body, which activates the nerves in those areas and helps to integrate the impact of the asanas (yoga postures) into our system.
